#NH 8 | JAIPUR | ART | JOURNEY

It was 22nd November, when i had started from Delhi and it took me four hours to reach the Pink city , through NH 8 . Proceeding towards the city i could feel the swirls of crisp wind on my face, Jaipur being at its best during this month , when the cold descends in with tranquility. Almost at the heart of city was my destination, Jawahar Kala Kendra , venue for prestigious Jaipur Art Summit 2015. Entering through the passage i could see a huge marquee, surrounded by various art workshops having many easels supporting some paintings in progress. When i stepped into the marquee, the first painting i could see was huge 8ft Taj Mahal painted in oils, It was as realistic as one could imagine. Then i gradually forwarded to the second strand and reached my paintings , it is always a heart some feeling to be a part of a huge exhibition. Also i could not resist to get a picture clicked. This exhibition showcased 300 arists from all over the world.

After spending time at the art splurge, i couldn't stop myself from exploring the city. First on my list was The Hawa Mahal, located at badi choupad , Jaipur , Rajasthan . Standing outside the monument i had to turn my head up and high for a complete view of the structure.

Hawa Mahal , the palace of winds is the five storey pyramidal monument constructed of red and pink sandstone , built during Rajputs so that the women of the royal household could observe street festivals while unseen from outside. While capturing the monument even i could hear dhols , gongs and people dressed beautifully in their traditional costumes.

Next on my applecart was the most awaited Jaigarh fort which was located on peaks of Arravali range it overlooks the Amber Fort .The fort features a huge canon known as Jaivana.

This summarises my first day at the pink city, and it was really worth delineating.
